If you are traveling by car, first make your way to the nearest ferry terminal, which is located on the mainland at Entebbe. From Kampala, take the Kampala-Entebbe road for about 40 kilometers. Once at the Entebbe ferry terminal, purchase a ferry ticket to Ssese Islands, which typically costs around 30,000 UGX for a passenger. The ferry ride lasts approximately 1.5 hours. Upon arrival at the Bukakata landing site on the Ssese Islands, you can hire a boat or a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) to take you to Banda Island Resort. The boat ride to the resort will take about 20-30 minutes depending on the water conditions.

For those using public transport, start your journey from Kampala by taking a taxi (matatu) to Entebbe. Look for a taxi terminal near the city center, and take a taxi heading to Entebbe, which will cost around 3,000 UGX. After reaching Entebbe, walk to the ferry terminal and buy your ticket to Ssese Islands for approximately 30,000 UGX. The ferry ride takes about 1.5 hours. After disembarking at Bukakata, you can either hire a boat directly to Banda Island Resort, which costs around 50,000 UGX per person, or take a boda boda to a nearby landing site for a short boat ride to the resort.
