• Ferry

  To reach Lutoboka Bay, you will first need to travel to Kalangala. The most common route is to take a ferry from Entebbe to Kalangala. You can purchase your ferry tickets at the Entebbe Ferry Terminal. The ferry operates multiple times a day, but it's advisable to check the schedule in advance. The ferry ride takes approximately 1 hour and costs around 25,000 UGX per person. Once you arrive at the Kalangala ferry dock, you will be greeted with stunning views of Lake Victoria.

• Local Transportation

  Upon disembarking at the Kalangala ferry dock, you can either hire a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) or arrange for a taxi to take you to Lutoboka Bay, which is approximately a 20-minute drive from the ferry terminal. If you're traveling with a group, you might consider hiring a private car for convenience. The fare for boda-boda rides typically ranges between 5,000 to 10,000 UGX, while a car hire may cost around 30,000 to 50,000 UGX depending on the type of vehicle.

• Walking

  For those who prefer a more adventurous route, you can opt to walk from the Kalangala ferry dock to Lutoboka Bay. The distance is about 6 kilometers and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours on foot. This walk will allow you to experience the local scenery and perhaps interact with residents along the way. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and carry water, especially on hot days.
