Travel Guide to Chorne Sea

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start your journey from any major city in the Black Sea region, such as Odesa or Mykolaiv. From Odesa, take the M-14 highway toward Mykolaiv. Continue on this road for approximately 140 km until you reach the town of Ochakiv. From Ochakiv, follow the signs to the coastline where you can access the Chorne Sea. Be aware that parking may be limited near the beach areas, so plan accordingly.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Odesa to Mykolaiv, which usually departs from the Odesa Central Bus Station. The bus ride takes about 2-3 hours and costs approximately 100 UAH. Once in Mykolaiv, transfer to a local bus or minivan heading to Ochakiv, which costs around 50 UAH and takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving in Ochakiv, you can either walk to the beach area or take a taxi for around 50 UAH to get closer to the Chorne Sea.

• Train

  Another option is to take a train from Odesa to Mykolaiv. Trains run regularly and take approximately 3 hours. Tickets can be purchased at the train station or online, costing around 150 UAH. Once you arrive at Mykolaiv Train Station, follow the same instructions as mentioned above for transferring to Ochakiv. This option provides a scenic view of the countryside during your journey.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a direct and comfortable option, consider using a taxi or rideshare service (like Bolt or Uber) from your current location in the Black Sea region to Chorne Sea. This option allows for door-to-door service. The cost will vary depending on your starting point, but expect to pay around 1000-1500 UAH from Odesa to Chorne Sea.
