Car
If you're traveling by car, you can reach Chufut-Kale from Simferopol, the capital of Crimea. Start by driving towards Bakhchisaray via the A-291 highway, which takes approximately 1 hour (about 60 km). Once you arrive in Bakhchisaray, look for signs directing you to Chufut-Kale. You will need to park your car at the designated parking area near the entrance, which may cost around 100 RUB. From the parking area, it's a short 20-minute walk to the entrance of Chufut-Kale.
Public Transportation
For those opting for public transportation, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Simferopol to Bakhchisaray. Marshrutkas leave frequently and the journey takes about 1 hour. Upon reaching Bakhchisaray, you can catch a local taxi to the entrance of Chufut-Kale, which should cost around 200-300 RUB. Alternatively, you can walk from the bus station in Bakhchisaray to Chufut-Kale, which takes about 40 minutes.
Walking
If you are already in Bakhchisaray and prefer to walk, head towards the main road and follow the signs to Chufut-Kale. The path is well-marked and takes approximately 40 minutes. Wear comfortable shoes as the terrain can be uneven. Remember to carry water and snacks, as there are limited facilities once you start your hike.
