Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Simferopol, the capital of Crimea. Head southwest on the E105 highway towards Alushta. After approximately 60 kilometers, take the exit for the M18 towards Yalta. Continue on the M18 for about 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Yalta. From Yalta, follow the signs towards the village of Gaspra and then to the Aivazovsky Park area. Once in Gaspra, look for signs directing you towards Roman-Kosh. The peak is located just a short drive from the village, where you can park your car nearby and continue on foot to the summit. Be prepared for a steep hike to reach the peak.

Public Transportation
To reach Roman-Kosh via public transportation, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Simferopol to Yalta. Marshrutkas frequently depart from the Simferopol bus station, and the journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once in Yalta, transfer to another marshrutka heading towards Gaspra. This ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Upon arriving in Gaspra, you may need to walk to the base of Roman-Kosh. Be sure to check the schedule for the marshrutkas as they may not run late in the evening, so plan your return accordingly.

Once you arrive in Gaspra, you will need to hike to reach Roman-Kosh. The hike to the peak is roughly 3 kilometers and can take about 1 to 2 hours, depending on your fitness level.
