Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Luhansk. Head southeast on Vatutina Street toward the E40 highway. Take the E40 highway heading east for approximately 30 kilometers. After entering the Luhansk Oblast region, look for signs for Криволучье (Kryvoluchye). Take the exit toward Kryvoluchye and follow the local roads, turning onto the road that leads directly to Марусинский карьер. The destination is located at latitude 48.1802272 and longitude 38.8997077. Make sure to follow GPS navigation for the most accurate route. Parking is available near the site, but it may be limited during peak tourist times.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, start by taking a local bus or marshrutka from Luhansk to the nearest town, Kryvoluchye. Buses from Luhansk to Kryvoluchye run regularly, and the fare is approximately 50 UAH. Once you arrive in Kryvoluchye, you can take a local taxi to Марусинский карьер for a fare of around 100 UAH. The taxi ride should take about 15 minutes. Ensure you confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

  If you are already in Kryvoluchye and prefer to walk, Марусинский карьер is approximately 5 kilometers away from the town center. Head southeast on the main road, which will lead you to the site.
