Walking
From Constitution Square, start by facing the large fountain in the center of the square. Head towards the northeast corner of the square and exit onto Sumska Street. Walk straight along Sumska Street for about 700 meters. You will pass various shops and cafes on your left and right. Keep an eye out for the tall building that resembles a tower; this is a good landmark to ensure you're on the right path. After approximately 10 minutes of walking, you will see the Taras Shevchenko Monument located in the small park area on your left, just before the intersection with Pushkinska Street.
Public Transport (Trolleybus)
If you prefer a quicker option, you can take the trolleybus from Constitution Square. Locate the nearest trolleybus stop at the edge of the square. Look for trolleybus number 7, which travels towards the city center. Board the trolleybus and ride for 3 stops. Get off at the 'Taras Shevchenko Monument' stop. From there, the monument will be directly in front of you, just a short walk away. Note: A single ticket costs approximately 8 UAH and can be purchased at the stop or on board.
Public Transport (Metro)
Alternatively, you can take the metro. Walk to the 'Constitution Square' metro station, which is located beneath the square. Take the metro train in the direction of 'Oleksiivska' and travel one stop to 'Universytet'. Exit the station and walk straight along Sumska Street for about 400 meters. The Taras Shevchenko Monument will be on your right, situated in a small park area. A single metro ticket costs around 8 UAH. Make sure to keep your ticket until you exit the metro.
