Car
From Kherson city, take the E58 highway heading northwest towards the village of Kakhovka. Continue on the E58 for approximately 50 km until you reach the town of Kakhovka. From Kakhovka, follow the signs to the village of Oleshky. Take a left onto the T2208 road towards the Dzharylhach ferry terminal (located at 46.0243, 32.8927). Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, park your car and purchase a ferry ticket to Dzharylhach Island. The ferry ride takes about 30-40 minutes. Make sure to check the ferry schedule in advance, as it may vary seasonally.
Public Transportation
Begin your journey at the Kherson bus station (located at 46.6377, 32.6172). Take a marshrutka (minibus) to the town of Kakhovka. The ride will take approximately 1 hour and cost around 50 UAH. Once you arrive in Kakhovka, ask locals for directions to the ferry terminal. You can either walk (approximately 30 minutes) or take a local taxi (about 100 UAH) to the ferry terminal at 46.0243, 32.8927. At the ferry terminal, purchase your ticket for the ferry to Dzharylhach Island, which takes about 30-40 minutes.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can arrange for a taxi from Kherson city directly to the Dzharylhach ferry terminal. This option is more expensive, typically costing between 600-800 UAH, but it provides convenience without the need for multiple transfers. The taxi will take approximately 1 hour to reach the terminal, where you will need to purchase a ferry ticket for the crossing to Dzharylhach Island.
