Nezalezhnosti Square: The Heart of Khmelnytskyi

Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from the central market (Tsentralnyi Rynok), exit the market and head south on Proskurivska Street. Continue straight for about 700 meters until you reach the intersection with Shevchenka Street. Turn left onto Shevchenka Street and walk for another 300 meters. You will see Nezalezhnosti Square on your right, recognizable by its open space and central fountain.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the main bus station (Avtovokzal), take bus number 35 towards the city center. Get off at the stop named 'Ploshcha Nezalezhnosti' (Independence Square). The square is directly in front of you as you exit the bus. Alternatively, you can take any bus that goes towards the central market and then follow the walking directions from there.

• Walking from a Nearby Landmark

  If you're near the Khmelnytskyi Regional Museum, exit the museum and turn left onto Tsentralna Street. Walk for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Proskurivska Street. Turn right onto Proskurivska Street and continue straight for about 400 meters until you reach Nezalezhnosti Square on your left.

• Taking a Tram

  From the tram stop at the city center (Tsentralna Ploshcha), board tram number 1 or 2. Ride for two stops and get off at the 'Ploshcha Nezalezhnosti' stop. The square will be right in front of you as you exit the tram.
