Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the central part of Poltava, head towards Sobornosti Street (Соборності вулиця). Walk along this main street, and you will find various shops and cafes. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Velyka Pershota Street (Велика Першота вулиця). At this point, you should see some local landmarks like the Taras Shevchenko Monument. Turn left onto Velyka Pershota Street and continue walking until you reach the main square. Maydan Nezalezhnosti will be directly ahead, marked by its open space and indicative monuments.

• Public Transport (Bus or Trolleybus)

  Locate the nearest bus or trolleybus stop. Routes such as 5, 6, or 8 typically pass through the central area. Board any of these routes and travel towards the stop named 'Maydan Nezalezhnosti' (Майдан Незалежності). Once you disembark, you will find yourself in the square itself, surrounded by local shops and attractions.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer cycling, look for a local bike rental service in the city center. Once you have your bike, head towards the main road, Sobornosti Street. Cycle along this street heading towards the city center, then turn onto Velyka Pershota Street. Follow this road until you arrive at Maydan Nezalezhnosti. There are bike racks available for parking at the square.
