Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Sian River. Head south on the main road (H09) towards the town of Mukachevo. This road will lead you through picturesque landscapes of Zakarpattia Oblast. After approximately 30 km, you will reach Mukachevo. From there, take the exit onto the N09 road towards Uzhhorod. Continue on this road for about 20 km until you see signs for Pinya River. The river is located about 5 km off the N09 road, and you can follow the local signs to the parking area near the river. Ensure that you have a GPS or a map app to assist you with the exact turns, as local roads can be narrow and winding.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, start at the Sian River bus station. You will need to take a bus that heads towards Mukachevo. These buses run frequently, but it’s advisable to check the schedule ahead of time. The journey to Mukachevo takes about 45 minutes. Once in Mukachevo, transfer to a bus that is headed to Uzhhorod. Get off at the stop closest to the N09 road. From there, you can either catch a local taxi or walk approximately 5 km to the Pinya River. Be prepared to pay a small fee for both bus rides, which typically range from 30 to 50 UAH each.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route without the hassle of public transport schedules, consider taking a taxi from Sian River to Pinya River. You can book a taxi through a local taxi service or use a ride-sharing app if available in the region. The taxi will take you directly to the river, which is about 35 km away. Be sure to negotiate the fare beforehand or check the app for an estimate. The cost should be around 400-600 UAH depending on the time of day and traffic conditions.
