If you're traveling by car, start from Uzhhorod, the regional capital of Transcarpathia. Take the E50 highway heading east towards Mukachevo. After approximately 35 km, take the exit for the M06 highway towards Lviv. Continue for about 20 km until you reach the village of Svalyava. From Svalyava, follow the signs towards the village of Polyana. As you approach Polyana, look for signs directing you to Hora Vysokyy Kaminʹ. The final stretch will be on smaller roads leading directly to the base of the mountain. Ensure you have a GPS or map app for precise navigation.

To reach Hora Vysokyy Kaminʹ using public transportation, start by taking a train or bus from Uzhhorod to Svalyava. Buses run frequently from Uzhhorod’s central bus station to Svalyava, and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once in Svalyava, you will need to take a local taxi or a shuttle service to Polyana. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, as taxis may not have a meter. From Polyana, you can either hike or find a local guide to take you to the base of Hora Vysokyy Kaminʹ.
