From Union Square Bus Station in Aberdeen, take the Stagecoach bus number 11 towards Kingswells. The bus departs regularly throughout the day. After approximately 25 minutes, alight at the stop named 'Kingswells Park & Ride'. From there, walk towards Kingswells Avenue and continue straight until you reach the entrance to Countesswells. The nature reserve is well signposted.

If you prefer to walk, start from the city center at Union Square and head towards the direction of Holburn Junction. Follow Holburn Street until you reach the A90. Cross over to the A90 and follow the pedestrian path towards Kingswells (approximately 5 miles). Continue on the main road until you see signs for Countesswells. This route will take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your walking pace.
