Founded in 2014 by Paul Parmenter and Gina Wallace, this social enterprise became a registered charity in 2016, dedicated to bridging the gap between education and employment in rural Highland Perthshire. Here, visitors and trainees alike engage in practical manufacturing, from traditional woodworking to modern laser engraving and CNC routing, all while fostering personal growth and confidence.

Training and Work Experience Programs

The heart of the workshop beats with its free training initiatives, open to all but with a special focus on young people under 25 and those facing barriers to employment, such as mental health challenges or physical disabilities. Participants gain hands-on experience in every stage of production: drilling, sawing, planing, finishing, graphic design, laser cutting, and more. Business management skills like stock management, customer service, and social media are also taught in the office setting. Flexible, individualized placements allow learners to progress at their own pace, often leading to vocational qualifications or further opportunities.

Volunteering and Community Role

Volunteers are integral, bringing their skills to support trainees or simply joining for social connection to combat rural isolation.
