With the nearest cycle repair shop requiring a 30-minute drive for many residents, Draft & Flow brings professional cycling services directly to the community.

Comprehensive Services for Every Cyclist

The workshop caters to cyclists at all skill levels. Expert mechanics handle everything from basic servicing to full rebuilds, while the 1-on-1 training option pairs you with a mechanic to learn hands-on bike maintenance. For independent tinkerers, the DIY workshop space provides access to professional tools and stands, with expert advice available when needed. The Up-Cycle Programme accepts donated bikes and components, refurbishing them for pay-what-you-can or free distribution, giving everyone the opportunity to access affordable cycling.

E-Bike Hire and Accessibility

E-bike hire is completely free for local residents, making electric cycling accessible to first-time users and those exploring the local area. Visitors and non-locals can also hire e-bikes for periods ranging from a few hours to several days. This initiative removes barriers to trying e-bikes and discovering Aberfeldy's cycling routes.

Education and Community Engagement

While formal courses are currently not scheduled, the workshop offers 1-on-1 training sessions tailored to your needs and your bike. The workshop actively engages with the local community to promote environmental awareness and best practices around cycle usage, helping cyclists understand which roads are best for riding and how to exercise caution on local routes.

Sustainable Operations

Draft & Flow operates with strong environmental commitments. The workshop prioritizes eco-friendly products, responsible waste management, and recycling initiatives. Used tyres and tubes are recycled through Velorim, and customers can drop off old components for recycling. Energy-efficient practices and sustainable sourcing of bicycle products and maintenance materials underpin daily operations.

Membership is affordable with a suggested pledge of £39 annually (pay-what-you-can model), providing benefits while supporting local cycling initiatives. The workshop welcomes volunteers—40% of survey respondents expressed willingness to help with repairs, organizing rides, or administrative tasks—creating a truly community-driven operation.
