Car
Drive via the A66 from Barnard Castle or the A1(M) to the B6277 road towards Middleton-in-Teesdale. Parking is available at the Raby Estates car park next to High Force Hotel for £3.50 per 3 hours. The car park is open 24 hours but can fill up during peak times.
Bus
Take the infrequent bus service from Barnard Castle to Forest-in-Teesdale, stopping near the Bowlees Visitor Centre, about 3 miles from High Force. From there, a 45-minute walk along country lanes and footpaths leads to the waterfall.
Walking
From the car park, follow the well-maintained woodland trail descending to the waterfall base. The walk takes approximately 20 minutes and includes some steep steps near the riverbank. The path is generally accessible but may be challenging for those with limited mobility.
