    From Bath city center, head east on Milsom Street towards the river. Continue straight on to Bridge Street, crossing the Pulteney Bridge. After crossing, take the first left onto Great Pulteney Street. Follow this road as it becomes Sydney Gardens. Continue straight until you reach the end of the gardens, then turn right onto the A36 (Walcot Street). Walk along the A36 for about 0.5 miles until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Claverton Down Road. Follow this road uphill for about 0.8 miles until you see Golf Course Road on your left. Turn left onto Golf Course Road, and Sham Castle will be on your right, just a short walk down the road.

    From Bath city center, walk to the Bath Bus Station located on Dorchester Street. Take the number 18 or 20 bus towards Claverton Down. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Claverton Down' and walk along Claverton Down Road for about 5 minutes until you reach Golf Course Road. Turn left onto Golf Course Road, and Sham Castle will be on your right.
