Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the city center, start at the Market Square. Head east on Market Hill towards the Guildhall. Continue straight onto St. Mary's Passage, which will lead you to the corner of King's Parade. From there, walk along King's Parade until you reach Trinity Street. Take a left onto Trinity Street and continue until you reach the end of the street. Then turn right onto Bridge Street and cross the bridge over the River Cam. Once across the bridge, continue straight onto Thompsons Lane. The Cambridge Punting landing stage is located at Thompsons Lane, just a short walk down on your left.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the city center, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on St. Andrew's Street. Take the bus number 1 or 3 towards Newmarket or Fulbourn. Alight at the stop named 'Thompsons Lane'. After getting off, walk back in the direction of the bus you came from, and you will see the Cambridge Punting landing stage on Thompsons Lane, which is just a few minutes' walk away.

  • Cycling

    If you have a bicycle, make your way to the nearest cycle path. Start at Parker's Piece, and head towards the River Cam. Follow the path alongside the river until you reach the junction at Jesus Green. Continue along the river path, which will lead you directly to Thompsons Lane. You will see the landing stage for Cambridge Punting on your right as you approach.
