It operates with an inclusion-led, anti-corporate approach in a city where independent nightlife options have declined.

The venue is reached by a short walk from Market Square or most central colleges. Drummer Street bus station is five to ten minutes away, though services end before closing time. Taxis and rideshares from Market Hill rank or Bridge Street provide the main late-night option. Driving and parking are impractical due to pedestrianisation. Cycling is prohibited in Market Passage itself.
