Getting There

Bus
From Cardiff city center, head to the Cardiff Central Bus Station. Take the number 32 or 33 bus towards Caerau. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Caerau Lane stop. From there, walk north on Caerau Lane for about 10 minutes until you reach the entrance to Caerau Fort on your left.

From Cardiff Central Station, take a train towards Barry or Rhoose. Get off at the Waun-gron Park Station, which is approximately a 10-minute ride. Upon exiting the station, head west and follow the road until you reach the junction with Caerau Lane. Turn left onto Caerau Lane and walk for about 15 minutes until you reach Caerau Fort.

Walking
If you are already in the Ely area, you can walk to Caerau Fort. Start from the Ely Bridge and head southwest along the A4232. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout, then take the first exit onto Caerau Lane. Walk for about 20 minutes, and you will see the fort ahead on your right.
