Car
If you're driving from Keswick, head southwest on the A5271. Continue on this road for approximately 4 miles until you reach the Honister Pass. Look for signs directing you to Honister Slate Mine. The mine is located on the left side of the road, and there is ample parking available on-site.

Public Transportation
To reach Honister Slate Mine via public transport, take the Stagecoach bus number 78 from Keswick to Seatoller. The bus departs from the Keswick bus station. Once you arrive at Seatoller, it's about a 15-minute walk to the mine. Head south on the A66, then take the first left onto the B5289. Follow the road uphill, and you will see signs for Honister Slate Mine along the way.

If you're coming from Ambleside, take the A591 towards Grasmere. After about 5 miles, turn onto the A591/A593 towards Langdale. Continue until you reach the B5289, then turn right to head towards Honister Pass. Follow the signs to Honister Slate Mine, which will be on your right. Parking is available at the mine.

Public Transportation
From Windermere, take the train to Oxenholme Lake District, and then switch to a bus heading to Keswick. Once in Keswick, transfer to the Stagecoach bus number 78 to Seatoller. Disembark at Seatoller and walk approximately 15 minutes to the mine, following the instructions provided for the previous public transport option.
