Car
From Exeter, take the A30 towards London. Merge onto the M5 motorway and continue north. At junction 15, follow signs for the M4 towards London. Continue on the M4 until you reach junction 1 for the A40 into central London. Stay on the A40, which will lead you into the city. Once you’re in central London, follow signs to Westminster and look for Carlton House Terrace, which is located near The Mall and Buckingham Palace.

Take a train from Exeter St David's station to London Paddington. The journey takes about 2 to 2.5 hours. Once you arrive at Paddington, take the London Underground (Tube) on the Bakerloo Line toward Elephant & Castle. Change at Piccadilly Circus to the Piccadilly Line toward Cockfosters. Get off at Green Park station. From Green Park, it’s a 10-minute walk to Carlton House Terrace. Exit Green Park station, walk towards The Mall, then turn right and walk until you reach Carlton House Terrace.

Bus
Catch a National Express bus from Exeter Bus Station to Victoria Coach Station in London. The journey takes about 4 to 5 hours. Once you arrive at Victoria Coach Station, you can either walk to Carlton House Terrace, which is about a 15-20 minute walk, or take the London Underground. For the Tube, walk to Victoria Station, take the Circle or District Line to Westminster Station, then walk towards The Mall and continue to Carlton House Terrace.
