From the city center of Dundee, walk to the Seagate Bus Station. Catch the Stagecoach bus number 99, which goes directly to St Andrews. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus stop in St Andrews, walk towards the East Sands beach, which is just a 10-minute walk away. Head straight on Market Street, turn left onto North Street, and continue until you reach the East Sands.

Train and Walk
Take a train from Dundee Railway Station to Leuchars Station. The train journey takes about 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive at Leuchars Station, exit the station and catch a local bus (bus number 99) or taxi to St Andrews, which is approximately 5 miles away. If you choose to walk from Leuchars Station, it will take around 1 hour to reach East Sands. Follow the signs towards St Andrews on the A91 road, then head towards the coast.

If you're feeling adventurous and are staying closer to St Andrews, you can walk to East Sands from the town center. From St Andrews town center, head towards South Street, then turn left onto North Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the beach area. This walk will take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace.
