Start at the city center in Dundee, specifically at the Dundee City Centre bus stop. Take the Xplore Dundee bus number 73 towards Monifieth. The bus will make several stops along the route. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes, and you will arrive at the Monifieth, Liff Road stop. Once you get off, walk towards the coast, which should be visible. Follow the path leading to the beach for about 10 minutes, and you will reach Monifieth Beach.

Train and Walk
From Dundee city center, head to the Dundee Railway Station. Purchase a ticket for the train to Monifieth, which is on the line towards Arbroath. The train journey takes about 10 minutes. Once you arrive at Monifieth Station, exit the station and walk down the main road (High Street) towards the coast. Continue straight until you reach the beach, which should take around 15 minutes.

Cycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Dundee. Start at the Dundee Waterfront and follow the cycle path along the Tay River. Head towards Broughty Ferry and follow signs for Monifieth. The cycle path is well-marked and will take you along the scenic route to Monifieth Beach. The ride should take approximately 40 minutes, depending on your speed.

For those who enjoy walking, begin at the Dundee City Centre. Head towards the Tay Bridge and cross over it on foot. Once you reach the other side, follow the path leading to the A92 road. Walk along the A92 towards Monifieth, following the signs for the beach. This walk is approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) and will take around 1.5 hours. The route is a mix of pedestrian paths and roads, so be cautious of traffic.
