    Starting from the center of Durham, head southwest towards the River Wear. You can take Riverwalk and follow the path along the river until you reach the Elvet Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight ahead until you reach the junction with the A177 (Millennium Place). Turn left onto the A177 and continue straight, passing by the Durham Cathedral and the University. After approximately 0.6 miles, you will come to a roundabout. Take the second exit onto the A691 (North Road). Continue for about 0.3 miles until you reach St Margarets Garth. Turn right onto St Margarets Garth, and Beechnut Park will be on your left-hand side.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the Durham Bus Station, take the number 6 or number 9 bus towards the Gilesgate area. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the stop named 'St Margarets Garth'. Once you get off the bus, walk down St Margarets Garth, and you will find Beechnut Park a short distance ahead on your left.

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Durham and head towards the River Wear. Follow the cycle paths along the river towards the Elvet Bridge. Once you cross the bridge, continue onto the A177 (Millennium Place) and keep cycling straight past the Cathedral and University. After about 0.6 miles, take a left onto the A691 (North Road) and cycle for another 0.3 miles until you reach St Margarets Garth. Turn right, and Beechnut Park will be on your left.
