Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Edinburgh Waverley Station, exit the station and head towards the main entrance. Once outside, turn left onto Market Street. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with North Bridge. Cross North Bridge and continue straight onto the Royal Mile. Walk along the Royal Mile, passing notable sites such as St Giles' Cathedral on your left. As you continue, look for Advocates Close on your left side, just before you reach the junction with Parliament Square. The entrance to Advocates Close is a narrow alleyway, and you will see a sign indicating the location.

    From the Grassmarket area, head northeast towards the Cowgate. Walk up the Cowgate and turn left onto the Royal Mile. Continue along the Royal Mile, passing the Scottish Parliament building on your right. After a short walk, you will reach Advocates Close on your right, just before Parliament Square.
