Walking
If you are starting from the Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, exit the station and head towards Market Street. Turn right onto Market Street and walk straight until you reach the junction with the North Bridge. Cross the North Bridge and continue straight onto the High Street (Royal Mile). Walk along the Royal Mile, passing notable sites like St. Giles' Cathedral. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the junction with George IV Bridge. Turn left onto George IV Bridge, and continue walking until you see the entrance to Greyfriars Kirkyard on your right. Enter the kirkyard, and Thomas Riddell's Grave is located towards the back of the cemetery, near the wall.

From the city center, you can take Lothian Buses number 3, 5, 7, 8, 14, 29, or 31. Board the bus at any stop along Princes Street. Request to get off at the 'George IV Bridge' stop.
