If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards Mountnessing from the nearest major town, Brentwood. From Brentwood, take the A128 road towards Mountnessing. Continue on the A128 until you reach the junction with the B1002. Turn left onto the B1002 and follow the signs for Mountnessing. The windmill is located on the east side of the village. There is limited parking available nearby, so be sure to arrive early to secure a spot.

For those using public transport, take a train from London Liverpool Street to Shenfield Station. From Shenfield, you can catch a local bus (number 551 or 555) heading towards Mountnessing. Inform the driver of your destination and disembark at the Mountnessing Village stop. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Mountnessing Windmill. Follow the main road (B1002) east through the village until you reach the windmill.
