To reach Dunoon Castle from Glasgow, start by taking a bus from Buchanan Bus Station. You can catch the Stagecoach or West Coast Motors services that head towards Dunoon. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest times. Once you arrive in Dunoon, disembark at the main bus stop in the town centre. From there, head towards Castle Street, where you will see signs for Dunoon Castle. Follow Castle Street uphill until you reach Castle Hill, where the castle is located.

Train and Ferry
First, make your way to Glasgow Central Station. There, take a train to Gourock. Trains run frequently and the journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Gourock Station, exit the station and walk down to the Gourock ferry terminal. Board the ferry to Dunoon; the crossing takes around 20 minutes. After arriving in Dunoon, walk towards the town centre and follow Castle Street uphill to Castle Hill. Dunoon Castle will be on your left.
