City Sightseeing Inverness Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour

Wild hair and Wet bums

Really useful little sightseeing tour. I wish we booked a little earlier in our visit, as we didn't get to use the stops to their full potential. We popped off at the botanical garden, and an hour is more than enough to hop back on the bus afterwards from there. We sat on the top...it goes without saying, it was WINDY! so tie your long hair up, or expect to twinsy with a Highland Coo 😆 The audioguide and music were a nice touch. The only fault with it was the seats upstairs being wet, which after a rainy morning, makes sense, but the seats are deceptive in that you think they are dry, then stand up after an hour to find you have a wet behind. We will definitely use the tour buses in other cities after the positive experience with Inverness. I've seen other reviews about the tour being a sales pitch and going through rough estates, and there is an element of truth to that, but only in as much as, if you want to get to certain destinations, you have to drive through estates sometimes. The sales pitches weren't pushy, just useful in my opinion.
