Car
If you are driving, start from Tarbert, the main village in Isle of Harris. Head south on the A859 road towards Leverburgh for approximately 15 miles. As you approach the village of Scarista, take the first left onto a minor road. Follow this road for about 2 miles until you reach the coast. Continue on this road; it will lead you directly to the Bunavoneader Whaling Station (Bun Abhainn Eadarra). There is a small parking area near the station.

Public Transport
If you are using public transportation, take the bus service (Service 46 or another local service) from Tarbert to Leverburgh. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Leverburgh, walk south along the A859 road for about 1.5 miles until you reach the turn-off for the minor road leading to Bunavoneader. Follow the same minor road for approximately 2 miles until you arrive at the Bunavoneader Whaling Station. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may be limited.

If you're feeling adventurous and are already in the vicinity, you can walk from Scarista to Bunavoneader. This would involve following the coastal path from Scarista along the shore, which is about a 3-mile walk. The walk offers stunning views of the coastline but is recommended only for those who are physically fit and prepared for outdoor conditions.
