Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading to the main road on Isle of Jura, which is the A846. From the main village of Craighouse, take the A846 towards the north. Continue driving for approximately 15 minutes, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Look for signs directing you towards Bunnahabhain Distillery, as the lookout is nearby. Once you reach the distillery, continue past it until you arrive at the viewpoint at VVHG+RG, Isle of Islay PA46 7RN. There is limited parking available at the lookout area.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, check the local bus schedules for services that run from Craighouse to Bunnahabhain. The buses may not run frequently, so it’s best to plan ahead. Once you arrive at the nearest bus stop to Bunnahabhain, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile to reach the Bunnahabhain Bay Scenic Lookout. Follow the path towards the coastline, and you will find signs leading you to the lookout point.

Walking
For those who enjoy hiking, you can also walk from Craighouse to Bunnahabhain Bay Scenic Lookout. The walk is about 4 miles and will take around 1.5 hours. Start at the main street in Craighouse, heading north toward the A846. Follow the road, enjoying the beautiful landscapes and local wildlife. When you reach the Bunnahabhain Distillery, follow the signs towards the lookout. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as the terrain can be uneven in places.
