If you are driving from Lanarkshire, head south on the A76 towards Sanquhar. Follow the A76 for approximately 20 miles until you reach Sanquhar. Once in Sanquhar, look for signs directing you towards the Mennock Pass. The pass is located just west of the town, and you can access it via the B797 road which will take you through the beautiful countryside. There is no parking fee, and you can stop at various points along the pass to take in the stunning scenery.

To reach Mennock Pass via public transport, start by taking a train from Glasgow Central Station to Dumfries. The train journey takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Dumfries station, catch the bus service (number 79) that goes to Sanquhar. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Upon reaching Sanquhar, you can either walk to the B797 road leading to Mennock Pass, which is about a 20-minute walk, or check for local taxi services for a quick ride. Make sure to check the bus and train schedules in advance for the most accurate travel times.
