Getting There

• Tube

  To get to Bankside, start by finding the nearest London Underground station. If you are near London Bridge station, take the Northern Line (black line) towards Morden. Get off at the next stop, which is Borough. From Borough station, exit onto Borough High Street. Walk straight for approximately 10 minutes, crossing over the River Thames using the Southwark Bridge, and you will arrive at Bankside.

• Bus

  If you prefer to travel by bus, look for a bus stop near your current location. Catch a bus heading towards the London Bridge area. The 344 or 381 buses frequently pass through central London and will take you close to Bankside. Get off at the 'Southwark Street' stop. From there, walk along Southwark Street towards the River Thames, and you will reach Bankside in about 5 minutes.

  If you are nearby, you can simply walk to Bankside. Look for the River Thames, and head towards the south bank. You can follow the riverside walk, which is scenic and leads directly to Bankside. Look out for landmarks like the Tate Modern and the Globe Theatre, which are located in close proximity. It should take about 15-20 minutes to reach Bankside from the central areas like the Southbank Centre.

• Cycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, you can hire a Santander Cycle (also known as Boris Bikes) from one of the docking stations around London. Look for a docking station near you. Once you have a bike, cycle towards Bankside by following the riverside path along the Thames. This route is bike-friendly and offers beautiful views of the river and the city. It is approximately a 20-minute ride depending on your starting point.
