Getting There

• Train

  If you are in central London, make your way to a nearby train station such as St Pancras International or London Bridge. From St Pancras, take the Thameslink train towards Bedford and get off at St Albans City station (approximately 20 minutes). Once you arrive at St Albans City station, exit the station and turn left onto Station Road. Continue walking straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Victoria Street. Follow this road until you see the Cathedral on your left, located at Cathedral, Sumpter Yard. The total walking distance from the station to the Cathedral is about 15 minutes.

• Bus

  From central London, you can take a coach service from Victoria Coach Station to St Albans. Look for National Express or Green Line services that head towards St Albans. Once you arrive at the St Albans bus station, exit and turn right onto St Peter's Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with Holywell Hill, then turn left. Walk up Holywell Hill, and you will eventually reach the Cathedral, which is on your right at Cathedral, Sumpter Yard. The total walking distance from the bus station to the Cathedral is approximately 10-15 minutes.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, consider renting a bike from one of the many bike-sharing schemes available in London. From central locations like Hyde Park or the Thames, cycle towards Westminster Bridge to cross the river. Follow the A41 towards St Albans, which is around a 20-mile ride. Once you reach St Albans, find your way to the Cathedral at Cathedral, Sumpter Yard. Please be cautious as some roads may be busy, and ensure you follow the local cycling rules.
