Historical Roots and Landscape Design

Fassnidge Park was laid out in 1926, donated by the widow of a local landowner and designed by William Lionel Eves. It retains much of its Edwardian formal park character, with mature trees, ornamental shrub beds, and bright floral displays that add seasonal color throughout the year. The park also features a Mediterranean garden with exotic spiky plants, a memorial drinking fountain (no longer in use), and a stone commemorating the 200th anniversary of the founding of Uxbridge, Massachusetts.
