The kitchen philosophy is firmly rooted in local markets, with menus changing monthly and a special 48.5-mile menu that changes every few days, showcasing produce from Norfolk, Suffolk, and throughout East Anglia. Dishes range from proper pub classics with imaginative local twists to refined seasonal creations, including specialities such as treacle-cured Norfolk venison, fresh fish preparations, and wild mushroom risotto. Sunday roasts are particularly celebrated, served from noon to 3 PM, alongside homemade pizzas and seafood platters from 5 PM to 8 PM.
