    From Nottingham city centre, make your way to Nottingham train station. You can walk there by heading south on Station Street, then turning left onto Canal Street. Follow this road until you reach the train station. Once at the station, take a train towards Beeston. The train journey is short, usually around 10 minutes. Once you arrive at Beeston station, exit the station and turn left onto Station Road. Continue straight until you reach the junction with High Road. Turn right onto High Road and follow it until you reach the River Trent. Cross over the footbridge leading to Riverside Road. Beeston Lock will be on your left after a short walk along Riverside Road.

    From Nottingham city centre, head to the Broadmarsh Bus Station. Look for bus services that head towards Beeston (such as the Indigo or other local routes). Board the bus and enjoy the ride; it will take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach Beeston. Once you disembark, walk down High Road towards the River Trent. Cross the footbridge to Riverside Road, and Beeston Lock will be along this road on your left.
