Car
From Stromness, head northwest on the A965 towards Hoy. Before reaching the ferry terminal, turn left onto the B9047 towards the Hoy ferry. Drive for about 5 minutes to reach the ferry terminal. Take the ferry from Stromness to the island of Hoy (cost is approximately £5 for a car and £2 for each passenger). The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you disembark at Hoy, continue on the A885. Follow the road until you reach Rackwick Bay, where you will find Rackwick Beach. Parking is available near the beach.

Take a bus from Stromness to the Hoy ferry terminal, which runs several times a day. Once at the ferry terminal, board the ferry to Hoy (approximate cost is £2 for a passenger). After arriving in Hoy, you will need to arrange for a local taxi or check for bus services that can take you to Rackwick Bay. The taxi ride will take around 20 minutes. Make sure to check the local timetable for both the ferry and the bus services as they can vary depending on the season.
