If you are driving to Hermitage Castle, start by heading to the A68 road from your location in Roxburghshire. Follow the A68 south toward Jedburgh and then take the A698 towards Hawick. Continue on the A698 until you reach Hawick. From Hawick, take the A7 southbound, and then follow the signs for Newcastleton. Once in Newcastleton, look for signs directing you to Hermitage Castle, which is located just outside the village. There is a small parking area available near the castle.
