Car
To reach the Rest and Be Thankful Commemorative Stone by car, start from Glasgow. Take the M8 motorway westbound towards Greenock. After approximately 25 miles, merge onto the A82 towards Loch Lomond. Continue on the A82 for about 20 miles until you reach Tarbet. At Tarbet, follow the signs for the A83 towards Campbeltown. After about 10 miles, you will see signs for the Rest and Be Thankful. The commemorative stone is located along the Old Military Road (A83), PA26 8BQ. There is a small parking area nearby for visitors. Note that parking may have associated costs, usually around £2-£4 depending on the duration.

To visit the Rest and Be Thankful Commemorative Stone using public transport, take a train from Glasgow to Arrochar & Tarbet Station. This journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Arrochar & Tarbet Station, you can either walk or take a taxi to the A83. The walk to the stone is approximately 2.5 miles and involves some inclines. If you choose to take a taxi, expect to pay around £10-£15 for the short ride. Upon reaching the A83, you can find the commemorative stone along the Old Military Road.
