If you're driving from Selkirk, head northwest on the A707 road. Continue straight for about 6 miles until you reach the junction with the A68. Turn left onto the A68 and then take the next right onto the A698 towards Kelso. After approximately 7 miles on the A698, turn left onto the B6401. Follow this road for about 1.5 miles until you see signs for Smailholm Tower. There is parking available near the tower, but be aware that there may be a small fee for parking.
