Walking
Starting from Sheffield city centre, make your way to the Cathedral. From the Cathedral, head south onto Church Street, which will turn into Castle Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the A61 (Paternoster Row). Cross the A61 and continue onto the A6102 (Fargate). Follow Fargate until you reach the junction with the A57. Turn left onto the A57, and then take a right onto the A61 (Sheffield Parkway). Walk along the A61 until you see the signs for the Five Weirs Walk. Follow the Five Weirs Walk, which runs parallel to the River Don, and you will reach the 10 Ton Steel Plug Viewing Platform.

From Sheffield city centre, head to the bus station and take the number 75 or 76 bus towards 'Darnall.' After approximately a 15-minute ride, get off at the 'Sheffield Parkway' stop. From there, walk towards the Five Weirs Walk. You’ll see signs for the walking path; follow it until you arrive at the 10 Ton Steel Plug Viewing Platform.
