From the Sheffield city center, head to the Sheffield Interchange bus station. Take the bus number 75 or 76 heading towards Wincobank. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Wincobank Hill' stop. From there, walk up Sandstone Avenue, and the entrance to Wincobank Hill Fort will be on your right after about a 10-minute walk.

From Sheffield Station, take a train towards Meadowhall. The journey takes about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Meadowhall' station. Exit the station and walk towards Meadowhall Retail Park. From there, walk along the path towards Wincobank Hill, which should take about 30 minutes. Follow the signs for Wincobank Hill Fort, and you will reach the entrance in approximately 20 minutes.

If you're starting from the city center, you can walk to Wincobank Hill Fort. Head east on High Street and continue onto East Parade, then follow the signs towards Wincobank Hill. The total walking distance is about 2.5 miles and will take around 50 minutes. As you approach the fort, you will see the hill rising ahead.
