Take a train to Halesworth Station, approximately 20 km from Southwold, then catch the hourly bus service 64 to Southwold Market Place. The total journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Bus tickets cost around £4-£6 one way. Note that bus frequency reduces on Sundays.
Car
Driving from Norwich or Ipswich to Southwold takes roughly 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Parking near the Visitor Centre is limited; nearby public car parks are available with charges around £3-£5 for a half-day. Southwold town centre is pedestrian-friendly.
