Alexandra Gardens was developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with land acquisition starting in 1895 and significant planting completed by 1902. The gardens were named in honour of Queen Alexandra and created to celebrate the coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. A London Plane tree planted in August 1902 marks this historic event. The gardens have since evolved into a cherished green space in Windsor, reflecting both royal heritage and community pride.
