Car
If you are driving from the center of Aiguá, head southwest on Calle 18 de Julio toward Calle Juan Antonio Lavalleja. Continue straight to merge onto Ruta 12. After about 4 km, take the exit toward Q794+G3. Follow the signs for Cerro del Teniente o de la Gorra. The journey should take approximately 15 minutes, depending on traffic. There is no cost for using the road.
Public Transportation
To reach Cerro del Teniente o de la Gorra using public transportation, start by finding the local bus service in Aiguá. Look for the bus that heads toward Maldonado or Punta del Este. You will need to ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Q794+G3, which is a short walk from the park. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance to ensure you have enough time for your visit, as buses may not run frequently. The bus fare is typically around $50 UYU.
Walking
If you are already in Aiguá and prefer to walk, from the center of town, head southwest on Calle 18 de Julio toward Calle Juan Antonio Lavalleja. Continue straight for about 3 km, then turn left onto Q794+G3. Walk for another 1 km to reach Cerro del Teniente o de la Gorra. This walk will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your pace.
