Walking
Starting from the center of Cabo Polonio, head towards the beach. Walk along the sandy path towards the Faro Cabo Polonio (the lighthouse). The Camino de los Lobos is located near the lighthouse, so you will enjoy a scenic walk along the coast. It’s approximately a 15-20 minute walk depending on your pace.
4x4 Transfer
If you prefer not to walk, you can take one of the 4x4 vehicles that operate in Cabo Polonio. These vehicles can be found at the entrance of the village, where the sandy roads begin. The ride to the lighthouse area costs around 200 UYU (Uruguayan Pesos) per person and takes about 10 minutes. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to go to Faro Cabo Polonio, as the vehicles will drop you off close to the lighthouse.
