If you are traveling by car from Cabo Polonio, head southwest on the main dirt road out of town. Follow the signs for Route 10 (Ruta 10) towards the coast. After about 7 km, you will arrive at a fork in the road; take the right fork which leads you towards the coast. Continue on this path for approximately 3 km until you reach the entrance to La Calavera Beach. There is limited parking available, so be prepared to park on the roadside if the designated area is full.

For those relying on public transportation, you can take a local bus from Cabo Polonio to the nearest town, Valizas. The bus departs from a central location near the beach in Cabo Polonio. The fare is approximately 200 Uruguayan Pesos and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Valizas, you will need to walk approximately 5 km along the beach towards La Calavera Beach. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and check the tide schedule, as some areas may be more challenging to navigate during high tide.
