Merge onto Route 1 heading south towards Montevideo. After about 15 kilometers, take the exit toward Av. Gral. Flores. Continue straight until you reach Av. 18 de Julio. Turn left onto Av. 18 de Julio and then right onto Av. Canelones. Follow the signs to Parque del Prado, which will be on your left. Park your car in the designated parking areas near the park entrance. Be aware that parking fees may apply.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, first take a bus from Cuchilla Grande to Montevideo. The bus service is typically operated by COT (Compañía de Ómnibus de Transporte). The fare is approximately 200-300 UYU (Uruguayan Pesos). Once in Montevideo, you will need to transfer to a local bus (routes 180, 300, or 400) that goes towards Parque del Prado. Make sure to ask the bus driver for confirmation that the bus will stop at the park or check the route map displayed at the bus station. The total travel time may take around 2 hours depending on connections.
Taxi or Rideshare
You can also consider taking a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber) directly from Cuchilla Grande to Prado Park.
